If my mother needed her surgeon's attention, I wouldn't want him to be thinking about his wife's lamenting that he's never home, not romantic, etc.
If she identifies as a Mormon, then she probably takes her faith seriously, and it means a lot to her. I wanted to be able to fully share my faith with my spouse, but this expectation was now up in the air.
But my choice seems to be build a life so I am not lonely all the time or stay at home waiting for him to have time for me. But it also means he has ultimate responsibility for his patients, both ethically and legally.
